Step 1: Brainstorming/Prewrite
Think of this as your brain on paper. It doesn't have to make sense. Write down whatever comes to your mind. Use graphic organizers.

Step 2: First Draft/Rough Draft
Use your graphic organizers and brainstorming to start composing paragraphs.
Do not worry about spelling and punctuation at this point.15993379-danger-doodle.jpg

Step 3: Revise
Reread what you wrote. Take out what does not belong, add information that is needed , and move information around so that your writing makes sense.
Look for a better way to say what you wrote. Use better words and better sentences.
Good writing will have to be revised more than once. Warning: Ignoring these steps could be hazardous to your final grade!!!!
Step 4: Edit/Proofread
Now is the time to focus on your spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.

Step 5: Final Draft/ Publish

Type your paper using the proper format.
Mission Accomplished!
